Ex confinio casiae cinnamomique et cancamum ac tarum invehitur, sed per Nabataeos etc. Ubi Dalechampius, Lusitanis hodie Aquila brava, i. e. agallochum silvestre, lignum odoratum, agallocho vero nonnihil simile, dici, nascipque in promontor. Comorino, et in Zeilana insul. notat. Gatcias quoque ab Orto in Malaca agalochum garo vocari, hincque sumptum tari nomen, contendit de Aromat. l. 1. c. 16. Sed Salmasius, qui agallochum, cum aloe aromatica, idem esse docet, tarum Plinianum existimat id esse ligni odorati genus, quod Arabes absolute Haud, i. e. lignum, nuncupant, quodque Aetius in ςκευασίᾳ Myrepsici Thymiamatis ξυλοχίαν interpretatur.
